
The morning arrived sooner than expected. Soft yet pale. The golden glow of the sunrays slowly entered the room, passing through the curtains, acting as a filter. Birds hummed their favourite tune as they sat on their nests, while the roads were again busy with the honks of vehicles.
Mridha, who had been sleeping peacefully in her bed, stirred. Her body ached while her head spun like it would burst out any moment. Her vision was blurry, and her mind was exhausted. It wasnβt anything unusual for her, but there was something that her body felt. Something warm, something steady, just beside her, something that was moving, rhythmically and slowly. A faint sound reached her ears, making her blink slowly.
