"Sir please check these files." Neeraj, Abhiraj's assistant said and passed him the file.
"Neeraj, please wrap up all the important meetings for next week by tomorrow and supervise everything for the next week. I will not be available here except for emergencies," Abhiraj said, focusing on the file.
"Sure sir," Neeraj said and left the cabin to complete the pending tasks.
In the past two years, with the support of his family and loved ones, Abhiraj achieved his dreams. His company NV Corporation became a huge success, emerging as one of the finest and leading manufacturing units in India, and earned him a few awards for his excellent business strategies too. After his deal with Mr Malhotra, he became the spotlight. His passion, unmatched dedication, top-notch quality and perfect and promised delivery standards set him apart. And last year, he shifted his office from a rented space to his own office, just like he wanted, cosy and warm.
Abhiraj quickly rotated his chair towards the window of the room, wanting to feel the view while working on the file. Abhiraj was so absorbed in the file that he didn't notice when the other person slipped into his office and settled on the chair. Her gaze lingered on the back of his chair.
"So busy, I think I have to say yes to Sid for shopping now." a sweet voice lingered in the cabin.
Abhiraj was startled at first, but as soon he recognised the familiar voice, his lips curved into a sweet smile. He quickly turned around, his face lightened up just with her presence. Without even wasting a second, he placed the file on the table and went towards her and picked her up holding her waist.
"When did you come?" his tone filled with warmth and love.
He moved towards the sofa placed in the cabin and sat with her in his lap.
"When you were busy in your files" a playful smile played on Maanvi's lips as he teased him.
"So, were you missing me?" a smirk danced on his lips with teasing visible in his tone.
He tightened his hold around her making her gasp, but she somehow controlled herself from blushing.
"Yes, I did. But I guess you didn't. Right?" she said faking anger trying to cover up her flushed face.
"I miss you every damn second." He creased her cherry-red cheeks.
Quickly placing a small peck on her lips he started to crease her neck. Maanvi on the other hand was on the verge of fainting due to his sweet torture, but she somehow controlled it and wrapped her hands around his neck making him smile.
"Then come with me. I am going shopping." she passed him a small pout fluttering his heart.
"Shopping?" he asked, his expression filled with admiration yet confusion.
"Offo buddhu, you forgot. We have to attend Aryan's wedding. I need new clothes. For the last two years, I have just shopped for casual wear for college. I don't have any dress to wear at any functions." her cute pout and reason for shopping made him chuckle a little.
"Ok jaana, but you have to wait for 30 more minutes, so I can wrap up my work and then we can spend our day together." he tapped on her nose affectionately.
"Ok but be quick. I am hungry too" Her eyes narrowed at him as a dramatic sigh escaped her lips.
"Should I order something for you." he gently made her sit on the sofa, making sure she was comfortable.
"Umm, maybe a cheese sandwich. And a coffee too" A low grin left her lips.
"You and your obsession with a cheese sandwich." he gently tapped on her cheeks and chuckled.
"Can't help" she pouted.
He smiled and instructed his Assistant to send the food to his cabin within 5 minutes. He returned towards his desk to finish his pending work. Meanwhile, Maanvi sat back quickly scrolling reels on her phone, occasionally stealing glances at him. The way his fingers moved on the file, his brows furrowed with concentration, everything about him made her heart flutter and fall in love with him more and more.
Within 5 min one of the staff members bought the sandwich and coffee for the Maanvi and placed it on the table. Maanvi being her usual kind self thanked him an instant passing her brightest smile and started devouring her comfort food.
Abhiraj, who had been observing her, felt a sense of pride and love for choosing a girl like her. It wasn't just her beauty that made him fall in love with her, but her kindness, politeness and warmth she carried with herself, enough to brighten up anyone's day.
Maanvi's eyes met him and she smiled making his heart flutter.
"Want some" she licked her lips wiping off any trace of cheese from her lips.
Abhiraj smiled at her war voice and nodded in no, making her shrug and endorse back in the devouring session making him chuckle and concentrate on his file, which was now as difficult as defusing a bomb for him, almost impossible.

"Abhiraj is joining us for the wedding right? " Nandani asked. Her voice filled with a hint of hope.
Everyone at the dining table glanced at Abhiraj looking for an answer as it's very rare for Abhiraj to attend any wedding or events due to his hectic schedule.
"Yes maa." a small smile pressed on his lips. His mouth was busy munching his favourite pulao specially made by her mother.
"Great. You should attend this wedding. And do tell us if you like any girl there." Meera said with a hint of teasing-filled voice.
He instantly choked on his food hearing her words and coughed hard. Everyone glanced at him feeling tensed. Arjun who was sitting beside him hurriedly rubbed his back and passed him a glass of water trying to calm him down. After a few moments of struggle, Abhiraj finally calmed down and looked around at everyone, who was now glancing at him.
"Easy Abhiraj, you should be careful while eating." Vikrant stirred the spoon on his plate.
He secretly scanned his son's face and smirked knowing well why he choked on his food. He had been observing him for the last 2 years, his evening walk, mid-dinner messages, Frequent plans to Pune despite having no meetings and the amount he claimed he bought for himself, obviously who buy a lady's perfume as a self-gift, was enough to give him a hint about Abhiraj dating someone. But at the same time, he didn't want him to rush things up, he knew Abhiraj would never introduce her to them until he was sure that he wanna marry. He was happy that his son had someone he truly admired and wanted to spend his lifetime with.
"Yes papa, I am sorry." he quietly looked up at his plate and started eating food wanting to avoid any further embarrassment.
"By the way bhaiya, it's high time, we should start searching for a suitable girl for Abhiraj." Arjun playfully smirked as his eyes were fixed on Abhiraj's flushed face.
"That's right. And there will be a lot of suitable girls at Mr Patel's son's wedding it will be great if Abhiraj likes any one of them." Vikrant said joining hands with Arjun in teasing his son and making him confess about his girlfriend.
Everyone liked the idea except the younger ones and Abhiraj. The younger ones exchanged glances, noticing how Abhiraj stayed quiet despite listening to the plans of their parents to choose a bride for him.
Meanwhile, here Abhiraj was tangled between his fear and confusion about introducing Maanvi as his girlfriend. It wasn't that he didn't want to marry her, but the thought of his parents accepting her as their daughter-in-law was making him fear a little. On the other hand, he didn't want to force her into anything. She is now a graduate, helping his brother with his business. But the decision for marriage was huge, which he never wanted to initiate before asking her if she was ready or needed more time.
